Many of you requested a post about the recently released Final Fantasy artbook, which I finally received last week. So, here is the promised post.
Every Final Fantasy game features numerous awesome and breathtaking artworks, and Final Fantasy XVI is no exception. It showcases a wide range of great drawings, making an Artbook that contains all of them a no-brainer. It was difficult to pick just a few to show you here, but I did my best to feature my personal favorites.
The book contains hundreds of pieces of concept art and illustrations that depict the story of how the world of Valisthea came into existence. It covers everything from its Dominants and Eikons to its warring nations and rulers, as well as its creatures and devices, capturing every element in breathtaking detail. This unique collection spotlights the extraordinary work of the Final Fantasy XVI development artists, serving as a testament to their creativity and dedication.
Spanning over 300 pages, the art book is printed on high-quality archival paper, ensuring that the vibrant art and intricate details are perfectly preserved. It is bound with a full-color casewrap and a foil-stamped jacket, making it not only a must-have for Final Fantasy fans but also a beautiful addition to any bookshelf.
This book will be released outside of Japan in March 2024 and can be preordered at various places, including the Square Enix Store (€34.99) and Amazon (€35.99). If you want to buy the Japanese version shown here, you can find the links, as always, on my website.
What do you think of the artworks in Final Fantasy XVI? Have you preordered the Artbook?
