Today, I've got the latest Final Fantasy VII figure for you, and guess what? It's another Cloud! 😂
This figure pays homage to the original designs of Final Fantasy VII, capturing the essence of the beloved classic. From Cloud's unmistakable hairstyle to the details of his SOLDIER uniform, the 3D recreation aims to evoke a sense of nostalgia reminiscent of the original title.
Every aspect of this figure has been carefully crafted, from Cloud's facial expressions to the lifelike textures of his clothing. The set includes a variety of interchangeable hands and, of course, Cloud's legendary weapon—the Buster Sword. This iconic blade can be wielded in his hands or securely strapped to his back. The figure features impressive 24 points of articulation and is complemented by a display stand.
Now, what I have to mention here isn't about the figure itself but the terribly stupid thing Square Enix is trying. The Final Fantasy VII Bring Arts Figure comes with one exchange ticket to redeem a digital certificate of authenticity. Who even needs this crap? And, of course, because of this, the price of this figure is way higher than other previous Bring Arts. It's 130€ in the Square Enix store and 160€ for the Digital Plus Edition that is containing an NFT... 🤮
Usually, I always advise you to check other stores for a cheaper purchase. But for some reason this figure was only being sold by one alternative store, Play-asia. That's why I could purchase it for around 100€, which is still too much in my opinion!
I hope that this FFVII Bring Arts series is Square Enix's first and last attempt to try NFTs with merchandise... or NFTs overall. 🙄
