This game is a PS4/Switch rerelease of Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon that was originally released for the Wii.
Story: The story is rather simple and straightforward. You are a chocobo that mysteriously ended up in a Town named Lostime and helps the town people to regain their memories. A boy named Raphaelo adds additional spice to the happenings
Gameplay: It's a turn based game, containing randomly generated dungeons. You can choose different classes and a buddy that I accompanying you. The "AI" of the buddy is terrible (especially during the boss fights). Only with the second player trick i could make it less annoying. The gameplay is sometimes frustrating and repetitive. Especially some boss fights are dragging and need grinding beforehand. My biggest complaint are the loading times that even on a PS5 were wayyyy too long! Also, that SE removed the ability to remote play this game made me really mad! This is the perfect game to play on the Vita or Mobile and grind some dungeons!
Content: The game almost exclusively revolves around the element of dungeon crawling. You can make all the monsters you are fighting your buddy! A small town with a fishing mini-game connects the events.
Graphics: You can clearly see that the game is a remaster. It's still cute and colorful looking, but the graphics area looking pretty pixelated, especially on a bigger screen.
Music: The music contains some classic, well known melodies, but also some modern tunes that reminded me of Digimon Cyber Sleuth. Unfortunately the music is getting repetitive fast, especially if you spent more time in the town.
Verdict: Overall i can say that i enjoy this game even though i still have moments where i was losing my patience because of the repetitive gameplay. If you like cute games that are still challenging and you also like to grind to reach the platinum trophy, this is the game for you.
