We continue with the winner for Merchandise Wednesday that was Final Fantasy VII. I decided to show you one of the items I was most dissatisfied with purchasing recently.
I preordered both of the clocks as soon as they were announced by Square Enix. The premise was to have an elegant looking clock, that is playing the most iconic Songs from the game. The clock features 12 different songs that (thanks to a light sensor) are only played every full hour when there is enough light in the room. The clock can be really loud but unfortunately the sound is pretty "empty", missing any bass.
Unfortunately, the clock is failing to deliver the main function, being a clock. The shiny swords are sometimes impossible to read. The music is getting annoying really quickly, especially during working hours when I am on the phone, and I had to turn it off completely. But even then the clock makes a clicking noise that made me remove the batteries and put it back into the box.
It looks like every time I decide to use one of the collectors items I buy, it is getting broken quickly or I am really disappointed. This one will stay in the box and will be only taken out for posts 🙄
It was my personal fail, especially for the regular price of 129,99€
