For Final Fantasy fans who love unique controllers, Yuna's Tiny Bee gun controller for Final Fantasy X-2 is definitely one of the coolest. Made by Hori, under license from Sony and Square Enix, the Tiny Bee set is a PlayStation 2 controller shaped like Yuna’s signature guns from the game.
Each gun represents one half of a standard DualShock 2 controller—left gun for the left side and right gun for the right side. By pulling the triggers, players can see Yuna fire her guns during battles. Despite its gun-like appearance, it’s important to note that the Tiny Bee controller is not a light gun, but functions just like a regular PS2 controller.
Released in Japan in 2003, this controller set has become a sought-after collector’s item. However, one downside is the paint used on the base that holds the guns. Over time, it tends to become sticky and peel off. To restore mine, I removed the paint with high-pressure water, which was quite the project but worth it to keep things clean. It even felt like a mini version of PowerWash Simulator in real life!
If you’re looking to add this to your collection, it’s often listed on eBay for 400-500 Euros. Yeah, yeah.... It’s not cheap, but for hardcore Final Fantasy fans, it’s a rare find worth keeping an eye on.
