Since last week, my Japanese copy of FFVII Rebirth arrived in my collection, and I'm curious: which cover would you prefer this time?
For both the FFVII Remake and FFVII Rebirth, Square Enix Japan opted for a black background and logo, unlike the classic white design from the PlayStation 1 version and the artwork covers seen in other regions. Outside of Japan, the default covers feature artwork of Sephiroth, Cloud, and Zack.
Yes, Rebirth and other games offer reversible covers, so you can choose after opening the game. But as always, the question remains: which would you pick if you saw both versions side by side in a store? The plain black one with the logo or one featuring artwork?
