Development of Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 Progressing Without Delay, Story Complete

Writer: ⚡Xe⚡⚡Xe⚡

The development of the third part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy is progressing smoothly, with the game's scenario now officially completed. Yoshinori Kitase, the producer of the project, confirmed in a recent interview with Famitsu that the final chapter of the trilogy is on track and has been fully approved. The development team started working on the third part immediately after the completion of Rebirth, and progress has continued without delay.

Tetsuya Nomura, the creative director of Rebirth, was tasked with crafting a conclusion that both respects the original Final Fantasy VII and provides a new level of satisfaction that was not present in the original game. This task was completed by the end of 2024, and Kitase expressed his satisfaction with the finished scenario:

"I'm very satisfied with it, so I'm sure the fans will be satisfied with the final chapter."

Kitase emphasized that, while the team has stayed true to the core elements of Final Fantasy VII, the story for the third part will offer something fresh and different, ensuring a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy. The development team has not disclosed a release date, but the smooth progress of development suggests the wait may be shorter than the four-year gap between Remake and Rebirth. The team is focused on completing the trilogy without delays, and Kitase has reassured fans that the conclusion will meet their expectations.
