Up next in my FFVII Rebirth interview series is @xeznaff, who really needs no introduction when it comes to Final Fantasy.
This guy is the true MVP of the FF IG community, always keeping us informed about the latest FF news and updates!
Let’s get started:
1. What does FFVII Rebirth mean to you?
It means I can finally play the second game, and I only have a few more years to finish the trilogy 😂. Compared to the Remake, we know more what to expect, so while still really looking forward to the game, the hype is not as high as it was when the remake was first released.
2. How did you feel about FFVII Remake?
I loved every second of the Remake! I didn’t mind the new twists that were supposed to make the game a fresher experience for older fans familiar with the story. The graphics and gameplay were everything I could dream of. The remake, in my opinion, has the best fighting system of all the Final Fantasy games, and I’ve finished it at least 7 times since its release.
3. What are you looking forward to the most in FFVII Rebirth?
Actually, nothing really in particular. I am looking forward to all the mini-games and, as a big fan of card games, especially the Queens Blood card game. Also, to see what creative ideas they will have again for the old fans.
4. Do you have any concerns about the game?
Not really. I really enjoyed the Remake, and I have confidence in the Dev team that Rebirth will just be even better. I will be glad when all the talks about the one particular scene are over, as it’s losing its impact even more is being talked about it.
5. Favorite character(s) from the original? Which new party members are you looking forward to playing the most in Rebirth?
Tifa and Yuffie. And Tifa and Yuffie 😂 While Tifa was always one of my favorite characters, mostly because I have an affinity for martial arts fighter characters, I liked cheeky Yuffie in the original but loved her in the Intermission DLC. They fleshed her out and made her even more likable, and I can’t wait to see her energy with the whole crew in Rebirth.
6. Are you getting the standard, deluxe, collector’s edition, or digital version?
Yes! 😂 I preordered all editions except digital (this shouldn't be a surprise). Additionally, also a Japanese copy for my collection. I wanted also the twin pack, but it's digital only 😑
7. How do you plan on celebrating the release of the game?
I took a week off work to fully concentrate on the story. My family is also ready to experience and enjoy the game with me (or they will suffer, I guess we will see 😅). I will definitely blindly "push through" the story during my first playthrough. When I am done with the plot and safe from spoilers, I will take my time to 100% the game.
