Just kidding! 😄 The game isn’t on the Vita, of course, but I’ve got some good news for handheld fans. Thanks to an update for the Vitaki app, I’ve finally been able to connect my PS Vita to my PS5 for remote play.
If you didn’t know, the Vita supported remote play with the PS4, but Sony never added native support for the PS5. This was a bit disappointing, but third-party apps have come to the rescue! Vitaki, a fork of the Chiaki project, makes it possible to link your Vita to your PS5.
While the connection isn’t perfect—it’s still too laggy for action-heavy games—it works beautifully for playing visual novels. Sure, I can use remote play on my Steam Deck, but it feels too big and bulky when I just want to relax in bed with a good story. My Vita, on the other hand, is perfect for the job.
Here’s hoping future updates to Vitaki can improve the connection enough to handle bigger titles like Rebirth. Fingers crossed! 🤞
