The Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Original Soundtrack has been awarded Soundtrack Album of the Year at the 39th Japan Gold Disc Awards. Square Enix Music announced the recognition and shared comments from key members of the development team:

Producer Yoshinori Kitase reflected on how the expanded world of the game influenced the soundtrack:

"I am truly grateful for receiving the Soundtrack Album of the Year award.
As the second title in the Final Fantasy VII Remake project, this game offers a vast world to explore, many encounters, diverse quests, intense battles, and hidden treasures, making it even more varied than the previous entry. Accordingly, the soundtrack features an even greater variety of compositions and arrangements.
Additionally, the theme song No Promises to Keep LOVELESS Ver., composed by Nobuo Uematsu and performed by Lauren Allred, conveys the core themes of the game. I hope it resonated with listeners.
I sincerely thank all the fans and everyone involved. Thank you very much."

Director Naoki Hamaguchi emphasized the extensive effort behind the soundtrack:

"It is a great honor that the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Original Soundtrack has been awarded Soundtrack Album of the Year.
With over 100 tracks, the composers put their full passion into capturing the game’s world through music.
If both the new and returning songs, including the theme song No Promises to Keep LOVELESS Ver. by Nobuo Uematsu, were able to move the fans, there is nothing more rewarding.
I am deeply grateful to everyone who supported us and to the entire team that created such wonderful music.
This award serves as motivation for us to continue delivering an outstanding musical experience in Part 3. Thank you very much!"

Creative Director Tetsuya Nomura acknowledged the recognition while looking ahead to the final part of the trilogy:

"I don’t pay much attention to awards myself, but I am proud that our sound team has received this recognition again after the previous title.
Every department within the project has its own unique focus and philosophy, and the sound team, in particular, has demonstrated exceptional dedication. Their work has had a significant impact on the entire development team.
As we continue working on the final installment of the series, the whole team is pushing forward to create something truly special. Please look forward to it.
And to everyone who has enjoyed the game alongside its music—thank you very much."
