According to data from SteamDB, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth reached a peak of 40,564 concurrent players during its release weekend on PC. This milestone establishes it as the most-played single-player Final Fantasy title on the platform, surpassing Final Fantasy XV (29,498 peak) and Final Fantasy XVI (27,508 peak).

Released last week on Steam, the game has been received positively by players. Steam reviews categorize it as "Mostly Positive," with 75.22% of users giving favorable feedback. Additionally, the game is Steam Deck verified, ensuring compatibility across devices.

This record places Final Fantasy VII Rebirth second in Square Enix’s rankings for concurrent players of a single-player game on Steam. The top spot remains with Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, which achieved 45,357 concurrent players. The highest peak for any Final Fantasy title, however, belongs to the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV, which reached 95,150 concurrent players during the launch of its Endwalker expansion.
