Crystal Chronicles is a spinoff series from the FF franchise. It's having an own unique graphical style and contains own gaming mechanics. It's the first game released for a Nintendo Console since Final Fantasy VI.
FFCC is an action adventure game where you control a caravan that is on the search for rare trees producing myrrh. You can choose between 4 races and 8 professions giving you the access to different facilities in your city.
The multiplayer is utilizing a Game Boy Advance connected to the console by a link cable as a controller and second screen. Multiplayer was a big part of this game back then and unfortunately was really poorly implemented in the Switch and PS4 remastered version.
The original is definitely a better version of this game and I can't recommend the remaster at all. Unfortunately SE is not patching all the issues people complaining about, especially the multiplayer and sharing of the town with each other. I see it not being maintained at all from now on... Shame on you SE for wasting the opportunity for a remaster of a really good game.
If you want to add this game to your collection or buy one for playing purposes, the game is really cheap and can be purchased for 10€ and below almost everywhere!
