Today, I wanted to share something special from my collection—some of my most expensive books. These are part of a deluxe Final Fantasy guide box set releases that I originally passed on when it was first announced. At the time, I told myself I didn’t need it, and by the time I changed my mind, it had sold out quickly.
Here’s the official description from Prima Games:
- This collection includes hardcover guides for Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2 (covering the HD Remasters), and Final Fantasy XII, all housed in a collectible slipcase with a magnetic clasp.
- Each book features a deluxe ribbon bookmark and comes with three high-quality lithograph prints, enclosed in a Final Fantasy-themed envelope.
- Also included is a double-sided poster for each game.
Originally released in 2015 for 92.95€, this box set sold out quickly. Finding one later in good condition became difficult, and sealed copies now go for around 700€. I eventually gave in and purchased a used set, which still can cost between 300€ and 500€. Some sets that include both collections (Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX and Final Fantasy X, X-2, XII) can even reach up to 1,000€.
