With the release of Final Fantasy XVI, I wanted to discuss a topic that is highly relevant. How do you feel about spoilers, and how much information are you willing to tolerate before playing the game yourself?
I would categorize people based on their tolerance for information prior to playing the game:
1. "Everything is a spoiler!" - These are people who prefer to go into a game completely blind and avoid any knowledge about it.
2. "A little bit can't hurt" - It's acceptable to watch a few trailers for basic information, but once too much is revealed, these individuals tend to avoid further details.
3. "I trust you, Square Enix" - People in this category watch and read all promotional material released by Square Enix, trusting that it won't contain any plot spoilers.
4. "The excavators" - This group consists of individuals who meticulously analyze every trailer, frame by frame, in order to uncover every piece of information possible about the game, its characters, or the plot.
5. "Give me the full load!" - Some people enjoy watching or reading the entire plot of a game before playing it, from beginning to end.
Personally, I belong to the "A little bit can't hurt" category. I watch small portions of trailers but look away when I feel it's becoming too spoilery. I enjoy surprises and prefer to experience them firsthand while playing.
What category do you identify with?
P.S. Since I consider Aerith the Mother of all Final Fantasy spoilers, I thought a picture of her Kai Figure would be a fitting representation for this topic. 😁
