Final Fantasy XIV - Knight's Bread
After few months of break, we are back with another recipe from the official FFXIV Cookbook.
Because I love eating sandwiches, this time we decided to give the bread recipe a chance.
The ingredients are inexpensive and easy to get or are even already available in many households. Probably the only uncommon one is the rye flour that still can be bought cheap in any supermarket.
The instructions are pretty straightforward. Mix everything a day before and let it rest in the fridge for a day. (Hint: If the dough should be too sticky, add more flour.)
On the next day preheat the oven and form. Bake for around 35min. It's not really necessary to close the form.
The only challenge was, that we didn't have a Dutch oven or even a similar form that would be 25cm wide. Instead, we used a smaller glass casserole dish that also fulfilled its purpose.
Time: 15min (preparation) + 35min (backing)

Result: 10 slices
Verdict: The bread is easy to make and is also really tasty. It's so good that i am planning to eat how it is. Maybe with a lil butter, if i feel like it. The only improvement would be the reduction of basil. It is pretty dominant and i can imagine not everyone would be a fan of it. Overall we can also really recommend this recipe!
