NDS - Dragon Ball: Origins

To honor Akira Toriyama, I will delay the post about another Persona game until next week. I wanted to dedicate a post to him featuring a Dragon Ball game with the original story. Rest in peace, Legend.

In Dragon Ball: Origins, players step into Goku's shoes as he embarks on a quest to find the seven mystical Dragon Balls. The game's stylus and touchscreen controls offer an immersive experience on the Nintendo DS platform, allowing players to explore the world and battle formidable foes at their own pace.

The story closely follows the events of the original Dragon Ball manga and anime, as Goku and Bulma face challenges and adversaries on their journey. From intense training sessions with Master Roshi to confronting fierce enemies, players relive the iconic moments that made Dragon Ball a global phenomenon.

The gameplay features an overhead perspective reminiscent of classic adventure games like The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. The stylus and touchscreen controls add an interactive element, enabling players to engage in battles, solve puzzles, and collect power-ups.

Dragon Ball: Origins introduces an exciting element with racing levels, allowing players to ride Goku's Nimbus cloud. These levels test players' speed and reflexes, adding a fun and dynamic aspect to the overall gameplay.

As players progress, they can upgrade Goku's combat performance using Skill Points, mastering new techniques and abilities for more exciting battles. Bulma also plays a vital role, accompanying Goku in many levels and contributing to the storyline.

Whether you're a long-time fan or new to the Dragon Ball universe, Dragon Ball: Origins is a must-play. With its faithful adaptation, interesting gameplay, and unique controls, the game offers a really enjoyable experience for fans of the series.
