Novel - Final Fantasy VII The Kids Are Alright A Turks Side Story

To contribute further to the Rebirth hype, I will try to post more Final Fantasy VII related content until the game is released. I'll begin with a novel that may not be well-known but is definitely a recommendation for all fans of the FFVII compilation.

The story of Final Fantasy VII: The Kids Are Alright: A Turks Side Story, which originally came out in Japan under the title Final Fantasy VII Lateral Biography Turks -The Kids Are Alright-, unfolds just before the events of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. The book, written by Kazushige Nojima and featuring illustrations by Sho-u Tajima, hit the shelves in Japan in 2011 and later made its official English debut thanks to Yen Press in 2019.

The story is considered a prequel to Advent Children as it follows the story of private detective Evan Townshend and his encounters with the Turks and other personnel affiliated with the Shinra Electric Power Company. These events ultimately lead to a confrontation with Kadaj. It's worth mentioning that Kyrie, who got more screen time in the FFVII Remake, is also one of the main characters in this novel. Other well-known characters like Tseng, Reno, Rude, and Elena also make appearances.

This book is widely available in English and even in German, costing around $10-15. You can purchase it on Amazon and other platforms. It's a highly recommended read, not just by me, but also by many other Final Fantasy VII fans.
