I find it fascinating that Square Enix manages to release a lot of books in Japan, but almost none of them are being released in English. I'm sure many of you won't be sad that this particular book wasn't released in the West, as it is based on the mobile game FFBE: War of the Visions. However, I still wanted to show you this release because it is one of the most recent Final Fantasy books published by Square Enix.
"WAR OF THE VISIONS Final Fantasy Brave Exvius Tales of Part 1 Personages -Hyakka Jouran-" (quite a catchy title, isn't it?) is a collection of short stories that illuminate the thoughts behind the history of Adora. It features short novellas based on the 78 characters from "War Of The Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius Illusion War" Part 1.
This book comes in a compact B6 format and showcases awesome artwork on its glossy cover. When you open the book, you'll be greeted by a foldable page that displays all the characters featured in the book, along with the page numbers where you can find their short stories. It's a really neat idea! Additionally, at the beginning of each story, there is a black and white artwork representing the respective character.
You can find this book on Play-Asia for around 15€ or on CDJapan for 7€. Unfortunately, like many other Japanese books, it remains a collector's item for non-Japanese speakers. I just love seeing my Final Fantasy library grow.
