Another version of a game you don't see being talked much about on social media. This is the PC version of Final Fantasy XIV 1.0 or how majority is calling it now: Legacy Final Fantasy XIV. To be precise, this is the Japanese release of the game.
FFXIV was planned to be released for PC and PS3, but initially failed so badly that the console version was completely canceled. The game was plagued with several issues at launch, including server instability, a confusing user interface, and a lack of content for endgame players. These issues led to a decline in player numbers and negative reviews from critics.
In response to these issues, Square Enix took the unprecedented step of rebuilding the game from scratch, leading to the release of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn in 2013.
With around 20€ it wasn't a really expensive purchase, but unfortunately it got a dent at the corner on the way to Germany 😭😭😭 I might consider getting another copy in the future and give this one away. 😊
