As some of you may remember, I preordered the Jessie and Cloud Motorcycle set last year but had to return it due to my dissatisfaction with its condition and quality. In exchange, I decided to purchase Jessie and Cloud separately. I already shared the Jessie Kai figure with you a few months ago, and in July, the preordered Cloud figure was released, which I'm showcasing today.
Since I already own the 1st Class edition Cloud, I decided to preorder the Version 2 of the standard Remake Cloud to have as a standalone figure.
Now, what's the difference between Version 1 and Version 2? The most significant difference in Version 2 is the new face and improved hair finish, which better replicates the 3D model from the game. The clothing has slightly different painting, and the Buster Sword is larger in comparison. Additionally, the figure comes in the packaging style used for all recently released FFVII Remake figures.
If you find yourself in need of more Cloud figures (if that's somehow possible) or are looking to add your first Cloud figure to your collection, I can wholeheartedly recommend this newer and improved version.
The only downside, aside from the price tag of around 160€, is that it's only available in the NA SE store and not in the EU one. However, Square Enix EU still offers the limited version that includes a Hardedge sword. Unfortunately, this figure is currently out of stock at any of my recommended third-party stores 🙁
