Last Year, Square Enix released the highly anticipated ChocoboGP game. While some are enjoying it, in my humble opinion, Square Enix missed the mark, failing to live up to the expectations of a no-brainer concept. It's astonishing that people are opting to play the 24-year-old PS1 classic rather than its successor.
"Chocobo Racing" is a PlayStation 1 game developed and published by Square in 1999. It was initially released in Japan and later made its way to North America and Europe.
In "Chocobo Racing," players take control of various characters from the "Final Fantasy" series,. The game combines racing and kart-style gameplay mechanics with elements of the role-playing genre, resulting in a unique and enjoyable experience.
Players can choose from a diverse roster of characters, each possessing their own racing abilities and special skills. Additionally, the game offers multiple modes, including Story Mode, Grand Prix, Versus Mode, and Time Attack, providing a variety of ways to enjoy the game.
"Chocobo Racing" boasts vibrant and colorful visuals that capture the charm and whimsy of the "Final Fantasy" series. The game also features a catchy soundtrack that complements the fast-paced races.
As always, the Japanese version of the game is significantly cheaper than its European and North American counterparts. If you're simply looking to add the game to your collection, this is definitely the budget-friendly choice.
