Maybe some of you read the "10 facts about me" that I posted on Saturday. One of the points mentioned how I didn't have much money when I was a kid, and every single game was genuinely valuable and appreciated. But I couldn't afford that many games anyway, and some of my childhood highlights were the demo discs included with the official Playstation magazine.
Even though this magazine was still pretty expensive, and we couldn't afford them every month, the ones I got were my most valuable treasures. This way, I discovered some of my most loved games. My first-ever demo was Bloody Roar, which is still one of my favorite fighting game series. (Obligatory reminder that this series needs a new entry really bad!) Other games that I remember playing a lot as demos were Armored Core, Rival Schools, and Hercules 😅 Some games, like Bomberman World, even included multiplayer that we reset over and over again—for hours!
The demo disc shown here is a special edition of Euro Demo 06/99, a Racing/Fighting Demo released in the Official Playstation Magazine in June 1999. This disc contains some of the really big guns of the PlayStation era like Tekken 3, Gran Turismo, and Wipeout 2097.
