Every time someone is asking for all-time Favorite Final Fantasy games, beside the obvious contenders like FFVII, FFIX or FFX, another game is being mentioned all the time: Final Fantasy Tactics! I wanted to give the game a lil bit more spotlight and credit with another post. This time i wanted to show you the original Japanese PS1 release from 1997.
Final Fantasy Tactics is a tactical role-playing game set in the war-torn land of Ivalice. Players take on the role of Ramza Beoulve, a young noble caught in a web of political intrigue. The game combines turn-based battles on grid-based maps with a deep job system, allowing players to customize their characters' abilities and roles. Engaging in battles, recruiting new allies, and exploring the expansive world are key elements of gameplay. The game's complex storyline delves into themes of betrayal, power struggles, and the consequences of war. With its strategic depth, rich narrative, and memorable characters, Final Fantasy Tactics remains a beloved classic among RPG enthusiasts.
The case contains two discs: a game disc and the Square Preview 2 including demos of other games. The demos of included games are Saga Frontier, Einhänder, Front Mission 2 and Front Mission Alternative.
A japanese copy cost me only 25⏠and is definitely a cheap alternative to the NA release. The game can be found not only in Japan, but is also being offered for acceptable prices on eBay.
