Tekken 2 is one of my favorite fighting, or, how we Europeans call it, Beat 'em up games of all time. While it was easily dethroned by Tekken 3, that is the greatest fighting game of all time for me, I share a lot of nostalgia for the second entry of the series.
I grew up playing Tekken 1 in the arcades and having a Tekken game at home was always a dream! I couldn't afford to get Tekken 3 when it finally came out, but a PlayStation arcade got rid of Tekken 2 while making space for Tekken 3 and I was able to get it for cheap!
I really loved that after playing the game with the main characters you could unlock a new one and you didn't know who is awaiting you! Such a big roster of characters compared to Tekken 1 that I knew from the arcades! It was mind-blowing! Law, Kazuya, Paul, Baek, King and so many more awesome characters with a unique set of attacks!
People following my account since a while, know that the Tekken series is dead to me since they introduced multiple season passes and started to milk the game with DLCs. I am sure this will also not change with the newest entry because 💰💰💰 Why tf did you remove Lei from T7 and make him a freaking DLC character?!
The picture is of the Japanese version of the game. What i really like is, how the inlay is having some kind of connection tree of the characters! A really neat detail for all the fans but also series beginners!
