What about a crossover game? Today I present you Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy in Itadaki Street Special.
The localized title of this series is called Fortune Street or Boom Street. At first i thought it will be more of a Mario Party kind of game, but it is more similar to Monopoly. You step on a property, can buy it and if someone other step on it, you get money. There are also cards, a stock market and mini-games included. Sounds really confusing to me 😅
It is the first installment in the crossover series between those two franchises. There is also a PS4, PSP and also a mobile sequel. It contains the most well known characters and boards themed after areas from both game series.
The Final Fantasy characters included:
FFVII: Cloud, Aerith, Tifa, and Sephiroth
FFVIII: Squall and Rinoa
FFIX: Vivi and Eiko
FFX: Tidus, Yuna, and Auron
FFX-2: Yuna, Paine, and Rikku
FFXI: Tarutaru and a Mandragora
FFXII: Vaan and Ashe
Recurring Characters: Chocobo, Fat Chocobo, Moogle, Cactuar, Odin and Gilgamesh.
Since its in Japanese only, I guess I will never have a chance to really play it. I have little hopes for SE translating any of those games for the US and EU regions. But as a collector item it will surely do.
