The second expansion pack for Final Fantasy XI, known as Chains of Promathia, introduced a host of new territories, quests, and an engaging mission narrative. Notably, this expansion stood out as the only one thus far not to introduce additional job options.
Referred to as CoP by English-speaking players, Chains of Promathia emerged as the initial expansion following Final Fantasy XI's global launch. Crafted to present a formidable challenge for dedicated players, it was equally committed to delivering an absorbing narrative enriched by a diverse ensemble cast. As a result, Chains of Promathia boasted the lengthiest storyline and some of the most demanding missions in the realm of Final Fantasy XI upon its debut. Over time, in response to player feedback, the difficulty of these missions has been adjusted downward.
