Wow! Xe is writing a post inspired by current events! What is going on?! 😂

With the announcement of not only the remake of MGS3 called METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE Eater but also the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection, I thought I would also make an MGS-themed post. And what better fits the theme than the original Japanese MGS3 for PS2?

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is a stealth-action video game developed by Hideo Kojima. Set during the Cold War era, the game follows the story of Naked Snake, also known as Big Boss, a special operations soldier sent into the Soviet Union jungle to rescue a defecting scientist named Sokolov.

As Snake, players navigate dense jungles, swamps, and enemy installations while utilizing stealth and combat skills to complete missions. The game emphasizes survival elements, requiring players to hunt for food, treat injuries, and manage camouflage to remain undetected.

The gameplay mechanics incorporate a combination of tactical espionage action, stealth-based maneuvers, and intense boss battles. Snake must employ cunning strategies, use camouflage to blend into the environment, and make use of a variety of weapons and gadgets to overcome obstacles and enemies.

I have personally played only MGS1, MGS2, and MGS5, so this remake will give me a chance to catch up on the game I missed before. What is still confusing me is that MGS3 is also part of the Master collection, which seems obsolete with the announcement of the remake.

Are you a fan of the Metal Gear Solid series?

Are you looking forward to the remake of MGS3?
