A game I actually finished a while ago, but somehow forgot to make a post about. 🤷
Catherine: Full Body is an enhanced version of the originally in 2011 released game and is a puzzle-platformer with an intriguing storyline, engaging characters, and challenging gameplay. The game follows the story of Vincent, a young man who is caught in a love triangle between his long-time girlfriend, Katherine, and the mysterious, alluring Catherine. As he navigates his relationships and tries to sort out his feelings, he must also climb a treacherous tower filled with deadly traps and obstacles.
What makes Catherine Full Body stand out from other games is the way that it blends different genres seamlessly. On one hand, it's a puzzle game that requires you to think strategically and plan your moves carefully. On the other hand, it's a platformer that challenges your reflexes and your agility. And at its core, it's a story-driven game that explores complex themes like love, desire, and fear.
The story of Catherine Full Body contains multiple endings and branching paths. The choices that you make throughout the game will affect the outcome of the story, and there are a total of 13 different endings to discover. This gives the game a lot of replay value, as you can go back and try different paths to see how the story unfolds.
I was really interested in the story and wanted to know how things will turn out, but after a while I was really bored with the puzzles as they just felt tedious. The story was okay, but I will not bother to get other endings as it means to replay the puzzles again 🙄
