This time, the voting was really clear and I am curious what game do you think i would present today?
Without having to think long, my choice for today is Divinity: Original Sin II!
Where should I start, when there is so much good to tell about this game?!
I have to tell you first, that Divinity is my favorite non-Japanese RPG of all time! In my opinion, this game is a masterpiece and whatever it does, it does it perfectly! The first game was already near perfection, but the second entry made the impossible possible and cranked it up even further!
Divinity is developed and published by the Belgium studio Larian Studios. It is a turn based RPG based on Dungeon and Dragons. You can create your first two characters or choose some pre-made ones with pre-made background story. Through the story, you are able to change your team as more can characters can be recruited.
The story is really well written and keeps you engaged through the 60 hours of gameplay (just story without side quests). While many could think the game looks like Diablo, it couldn't be more different. The fights are turn based, involve strategical thinking, outsmarting of the opponents and use of the environment.
One of the best things is also the coop feature. All 4 characters can be controlled by other players, completely independent of each other. While some players are exploring the city, talking to people or sneaking and stealing stuff, others can be involved into battles elsewhere.
The second game can be played without knowing the first one, as it tells a new story. It is available for all modern consoles and PC. If you are a fan of D&D or classic games like Baldur's Gate you need to play it asap!
