PS4 - Itadaki Street: Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary

How about a crossover game? Today, I got for you Itadaki Street: Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary game.

The game was announced as part of both 30th anniversaries of the Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy franchises, and was released on October 19th, 2017.

The localized title of this series is called Fortune Street or Boom Street. At first, I thought it would be more like a Mario Party kind of game, but it's actually more similar to Monopoly. You step on a property, can buy it and if someone else steps on it, you get money. There are also cards, a stock market and mini-games included. It sounds a bit confusing to me 😅.

It is the 4th installment in the crossover series between those franchises. There is also a version for PS2, that i showed you in the past and also a PSP version and even a mobile prequel. It features the most well-known characters and boards themed after areas from both game series.

Since it's in Japanese only, I guess I'll never have a chance to really play it. I have little hope for Square Enix translating these kinds of games for the US and EU. But as a collector's item, it will surely do. 😊
