A game that was somewhat of a meme when it was released, but it genuinely piqued my curiosity to try it out myself. However, since it was a digital-only release, my motivation for a purchase sank rapidly. On June 13th Square Enix also released a physical version, and I finally decided to give it a shot two weeks ago. After trying it, I was immediately hooked! I've spent the past 8 days playing the game whenever I had some free time. I even found myself playing until 3 a.m. on my days off 🙃.
PowerWash Simulator is a simulation game played from a first-person perspective. It's set in the town of Muckingham, where players manage a small power washing business, taking on various jobs for different clients across different levels. The goal is to remove dirt from a range of objects, from residential houses to a Mars rover, in order to complete each level. Successfully cleaning an object earns the player money, which can then be used to upgrade their power washing tools. These upgrades allow for customization of the power washer to make it more effective at different ranges or in specific situations.
A really cool addition are the "Special Pack" expansions themed after other franchises. As a Final Fantasy fan, the free "Midgar Special Pack," based on FFVII Remake, was incredibly exciting to play. I had a great time cleaning a mini Midgar, Seventh Heaven or the Scorpion Sentinel. If you're a fan of Lara Croft's adventures, the also free "Tomb Raider Pack" is a must-try. Additionally, a paid "SpongeBob Pack" has been released, and there are plans for a "Warhammer 40,000 Pack" to be launched later in 2023.
If you're seeking a game to unwind after a stressful workday, you should definitely give it a shot! It's remarkably relaxing, and completing each level brings a satisfying sense of accomplishment. It's the perfect game to soothe your mind! I wholeheartedly recommend it, 1000%! 😂
