Steins;Gate is one of the mainline entries in a series of games called Science Adventure. While other games focus on reality-altering or robotics, Steins;Gate concentrates on the aspect of time traveling.
It is a visual novel telling a story about a group of students accidentally discovering a method of time traveling through which they can send text messages to the past, thereby changing the present.
While working your way through endless dialogs and texts, the player makes decisions that have impact on the direction and outcome of the story.
The game was originally released for the X360 and later ported and released worldwide for almost any possible platform like PSP, Vita, PS3, PS4, PC and even mobile.
Many are probably more familiar with the really successful and popular anime that was released 3 years after the game. It is also one of my favorite animes of all time!
