Last week I showed you the Wonderswan release of FFIV. Then I remembered that @collect_videogames mentioned he never saw my North American releases, so I thought that today I will show you Final Fantasy II that was originally the Japanese Final Fantasy IV.
Because of the missing FFII and FFIII games outside of Japan, Square decided to continue a different numbering for North America...

As a European I personally always referenced to this game as FFIV. Especially nowadays it leads to a lot of confusion when NA people still use the SNES names. With the availability of Final Fantasy IV for different platforms, worldwide it's time to move on 😉
The NA releases are stupid expensive now.. 200-300€.. like, what?! If you find it below that, buy buy buy. They're just getting more and more expensive. Retro bubble at work again...
