Tactics Ogre for the PSP is actually a remake of a SNES game released in 1995. It is the second entry in the Ogre Battle series. Tactics Ogre is a tactical rpg game. Different to the first release it is turn based and also concentrates on character classes.
The battles happen on an isometric grid similar to Final Fantasy Tactics.
During a character turn, they can move, perform an action (attack, magic, item, wait), and perform a Skill.
It also also known for a really good story that even excels the one of FF tactics.
The game received superb reviews and belongs to some of the best tactical RPGs to date. It also received the title of "Best PSP exclusive" by Gamesradar.
If you are a fan of Final Fantasy Tactics or any other turn based tactical RPGs you need to play this game also!
