For a while, I didn't post any Ultimanias from my collection. Today, I am back with one of the more recent Japanese issues.
A few months ago, finally, an Ultimania was also released in English. I am talking about the Final Fantasy VII Remake Material Ultimania. It's a good start, but I was really hoping we would also get a "real" Ultimania!
The difference is massive! While the Material Ultimania focuses on the development and artworks of the game, the Remake Ultimania dissects every aspect of it.
It offers information about literally everything included in the game: the characters, the story, backgrounds, enemies, and much, much more! There is even a section with secrets explaining how to get every dress or how to unlock every resolution scene in Chapter 14. The pictures in my post don't do justice to the amount of information included in this book. If you can't or don't want to play the Remake, reading this book would be enough for a full experience!
I bought this book new for only 13€, including shipping and taxes! It's a steal! I really wish we would get these books in English as well, and not only in the form of compilations like the Archives... @squareenix, please release these books in English too!
If you are lucky enough to understand French, I have good news for you because @mana_books_ translated and released this book in French! Why can't other publishers be like Mana Books? 😔
