While counting down the main entries in the series, for a change I decided to not go with another Japanese Playstation version, but one for the Wonderswan Color.
The Wonderswan version is probably the least common one. I heard many times how surprised people were when I mentioned it, because if people know Wonderswan, most are only familiar with FFI and FFII releases for this console. Unfortunately, there is no FFIII released as it has been canceled..
The game itself contains a lot of improvements comparing to the original game, but less than in the PS1 release (the FMVs, the memo function and sprinting were removed). But new sprites and other graphics enhancements were still implemented in this one.
The booklet included in the package (i love those) contains a small guide how to play the game, a lot of screenshots and also an overview of all the main characters. (And it's full of Amano's art)
