A few months ago, I posted about the world preview of Final Fantasy VII Remake. Recently, I added the new book release for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth to my collection. I didn't wait for an English release this time (if there even will be one) and bought the Japanese version, which was released a week before the game. But it arrived together with the soundtracks, so I had to wait a bit for the package. FYI, the World Preview for Remake was released half a year later than the Japanese version, which didn’t make any sense as most people had already finished the game by then, lol.
As a reminder, the World Preview is a full-color illustrated introduction to the world of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. It presents information on characters, settings, gameplay mechanics, and more. It also offers a recap of the Remake's story, focusing on the plot of each chapter. This little book is great for both newcomers and seasoned fans.
The World Preview for FFVII Rebirth also includes "Two Thousand Gil to Become a Hero," a short story by Kazushige Nojima about 14-year-old Cloud's journey to Midgar. Fortunately, the Twitter/X account Shinra Archeology Department translated the story and made it available on social media and Google Docs. Here is a link to the document for those interested:
By the way, I paid less than 10€ for it on Play-Asia, so no complaints about the price!
